CV

Hannes Wiedemann (*1991 in Germany) is a Berlin-based photographer and artist. He graduated from Ostkreuz School of Photography in 2017.
His work explores the intersection of human physicality and the technosphere. While Grinders (2016) documents the DIY cyborg community in the United States, his project Bits and Pieces (2017) is a visceral odyssey through contemporary Seoul; revolving around the idea of facial plastic surgery as a mainstream technology and technology-shaped, fragmented visual perception.

His first book 'Grinders' (self-published, Berlin 2016) was awarded third prize of Kassel Dummy Award 2017 and selected BJP Breakthrough Award 2017 runner-up.
